All submissions requiring IACUC review (i.e., new protocols, renewals, modifications) are assigned to review as they are received. Preliminary review time varies from 1-2 days to 1-2 weeks depending on the type of review (see Submission Deadlines and Dates for more information). If final approval requires a full committee decision this meeting occurs on the last Wednesday of the assigned review month. IACUC approval of projects involving the use of potentially hazardous agents in live animals is contingent upon review and approval by Occupational Health and Safety and other Safety Committees as applicable (e.g., Institutional Biosafety Committee, Radiation Safety, etc.). NOTE: Submission of incomplete animal use forms or incomplete OH&S forms may result in delay of IACUC and OH&S review.
