BIOEMTECH β-Eye and γ-Eye imaging systems
The BIOEMTECH β-Eye PET and BIOMTECH γ-Eye SPECT imaging systems enable 2D PET and SPECT imaging of small animals infected with high containment pathogens. These systems enable SEBLAB investigators to leverage the use of novel radionuclide:antibody conjugates generated by UAB’s TR24 cyclotron (link). Performance of PET and SPECT on infected live animals enables highly sensitive, non-invasive dynamic imaging of the entire body of the same animal over time, providing novel opportunities to develop non-invasive diagnostic imaging tests for difficult to diagnose infections.
