Stribling, a Physical Therapy Resident at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, was awarded the Carol Gildenberg Dichter Memorial PCS Scholarship. The scholarship was created in 2003 and is designed to fund pediatric physical therapists that wish to earn Pediatric Clinical Specialist (PCS) credentials.

Strunk, owner of Rehab Resources and Consulting in Birmingham, was recognized by the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy with the Joan M. Mills Award. This honor, established in 1980 for the first president of the Academy, is given annually to those who have “followed in Joan Mills’ footsteps, generously contributing his/her time, talents, and efforts to the development of the Academy.”

Strunk, president of the Alabama chapter of the APTA, has been featured in the UAB School of Health Professions Alumni Spotlight.

Stribling, a past member of the SHP Junior Advisory Board, previously worked at the Bell Center in Birmingham and was there when UAB engineering students created and donated a wheelchair for children with disabilities.
