Drex DeFord, alumnus of the UAB School of Health Professions' Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) program and a senior healthcare executive, business/clinical strategist, start-up CEO, and CIO; Board Director, & Digital Health Leader, served the 2018 Leadership and Executive Access Program (LEAP) in October.

The Department of Health Services Administration initiated this program to provide extended time for healthcare executives to meet with students, faculty, alumni and community leaders.

DeFord also spent time enjoying the homecoming festivities.
