Students
Robert Weech-Maldonado, PhD students Neeraj Puro and Reena Joseph, and postdoctoral fellow, Ganisher Davlyatov (PhD, 2018), presented updates of our current research projects at the NSF Center for Health Organization Transformation (CHOT) 2018 Fall Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meeting in McLean, Virginia.
Students in the Department of Health Services Administration learn through many “hands-on” experiences that supplement their classroom learning.
For example, feedback during administrative residency site visits with M.S.in Health Administration (MSHA Class 51) students led faculty to plan the inaugural “Disaster Preparedness Week”.
This event was highlighted by Hospital leaders from Las Vegas, Houston, and Chattanooga who delivered first-hand crisis lessons.
Students in our Health Care Management program all complete an internship before graduating. Click the button below to see where our students completed their Fall 2018 internships.
- Second-year MSHI student Jenna Costigan was recently awarded the Jimmy Gamble Endowed Student Merit Scholarship supported by 3M Healthcare. Fabulous to see our MSHI students excelling in their first year of the program.
- Carrie Norwood, 2nd year MSHI student, authored a paper! See the paper.
- All M.S. in Healthcare Quality and Safety (HQS) and M.S. in Health Informatics (HI) students complete a capstone project that synthesizes all that they’ve learned in the classroom and provides “real world” application.
