Dodge Ball logoWant to throw a ball as hard as you can at someone? Of course, we all do. And now you can at the first ever Dodging for Degrees Dodgeball Tournament.

The Dodging for Degrees Dodgeball Tournament, a fund raiser for the UAB School of Health Professions Jr. Board Scholarship Fund, is set for Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the UAB Recreation Center located at 1501 University Blvd.

Ronald Hamner, SHP Junior Advisory Board member, says too often students “enter into workforces where they may not necessarily have the financial wherewithal to do what needs to be done to prepare to go to work.” He says that is just one of many areas where the Board’s scholarship fund will step in and help.
