Concerns reported on this site or through other means are evaluated using the following process:
Through a systematic approach, the BTAM Team reviews, analyzes, and assesses identified alarming/threatening behavior. The team may consult with subject matter experts, obtain/review pertinent information, take statements, and interpret UAB policies. BTAM Team members employ their judgment and discretion in working toward a recommended reasonable response. This may include categorizing the Level of Concern and developing a case management strategy.
Managers or supervisors who are UAB employees must implement all approved recommendations from the BTAM Team or other UAB officials involved in the assessment of the situation.
