The UAB Digital Asset Library (DAL) is a portal of photos, videos, brand assets, logos, and templates. It is maintained by the Office of Marketing & Communications to support the work of faculty, staff, students, partners, and vendors in visually representing UAB.

What is a DAL?
A DAL is a technical platform for efficiently storing digital assets (photos, videos, logos, templates, etc). At UAB, we use IntelligenceBank to power our Digital Asset Library. A DAL gives users the ability to search to find digital assets and helps provide a consistent brand for UAB.

Who can use the DAL?
All UAB faculty, staff, and students can log in to the Digital Asset Library using their BlazerID and password and download assets.

Does it cost anything to use the DAL?
All UAB faculty, staff, and students can log in to the Digital Asset Library using their BlazerID and password at no cost.

Who can add assets?
Currently, staff members in the Office of Marketing & Communications can add digital assets to the DAL. We are working on a process to allow freelancers, agencies, and departments to add assets in the future.

Who can download and use assets?
Most assets in the DAL will be available to all users to download once they are uploaded, tagged, and published. However, there may be special asset types that are restricted for use by smaller groups of users. You will only see and be able to search for assets you have permission to view or download.

Does the DAL integrate with other UAB systems?
IntelligenceBank integrates with many UAB systems including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Drupal, and Office 365.
