  Services altered for July 4th holiday

  In observance of the Independence Day holiday, the UAB Transportation Office will be closed on Thursday, July 4. As such, there will be no Blazer Express bus, Highlands Shuttle, or Motorist Assistance Roadside Service (MARS) on this day.

  Medical center employees with permits in the Express parking lots should follow the normal holiday parking plan and use the 6th Avenue Parking Deck.

  14th Street Parking Deck closing this weekend for construction

  Due to construction, the 14th Street Parking Deck will be unavailable to drivers this weekend. The parking deck will be taken offline Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 to enable crews to transition the Cooper Green Mercy Health building project to permanent power. The entrances and exits to the deck will be blocked, preventing drivers from entering the deck.

  TransLoc – app to plan trips across campus – launches July 1st

  UAB Transportation has partnered with TransLoc to provide a comprehensive transportation services app to faculty, staff and students. TransLoc – which replaces DoubleMap and TapRide – will provide real-time tracking of all Blazer Express buses and requesting capabilities for on-demand services, Safety Escort and Blaze Ride. The transition will be effective July 1st.
