Summer parking permit sales start at 8 a.m. on April 1, while Fall permit sales are scheduled to begin July 1. Students may purchase a permit online. UAB Transportation will offer options among seven zones this Summer, with Zones A through G available to all students and Zones A & 7 offered for housing students. Please note, Zone C permits will not be available for purchase during the Summer.
Please review rates and zone options before purchasing a permit. Permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. You are encouraged to apply early to ensure your desired zone is still available, as exchanges may not be possible. Fees are applied at the beginning of the Summer semester with permits mailed to the address provided.
If you are unable to purchase a parking permit in your preferred zone, UAB Transportation encourages you to consider developing parking arrangements or options other than bringing a vehicle to campus. Transportation options include using public transit, carpooling, ride-hailing apps, or choosing housing closer to campus in order to bike or walk.
