Length of Support
Ph.D. students will be supported the first year and for up to four years after the qualifying exam, which gives sufficient time to satisfy the requirements for a Ph.D. degree.
- Ph.D. students have to start in Mathematical Analysis and Linear Algebra and must have taken both parts of the qualifying exam at least once by the end of September of the second year in order to be considered for support thereafter.
