A minor in music or music technology is an excellent way to enhance your degree and educational experience. A music minor could be helpful if you're pursuing a career in education or performance. It could also simply be a way to explore a passion.

Requirements

The department offers two minors: Music and Music Technology. The minors consist of 26 semester hours of coursework in music. If you choose one of these minors you should have some prior musical experience and must audition on your performing instrument. You are encouraged to participate in music ensembles throughout their academic program. See the minor descriptions for specific requirements.
