My name is Shahadat Hossain. I graduated from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, and joined the graduate program in the department of Physics at UAB in fall 2021. Before Joining at UAB, I had served as a lecturer at the American International University-Bangladesh from 2018. During this time, I dreamt to complete my Ph.D. in a reputed university which will assist me to teach students in more details.

The Department of Physics at UAB gives me that opportunity. I am interested to work on Nano Mechanical Resonator, Plasma Deposition, Thin Films and Nanomaterials. I feel lucky that I have the chance to be trained on a variety of equipment and get the opportunity to work with scientists all over the country.
