Dr. Raimundas Sereika received his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from Vilnius University in Lithuania in 2013 and has since worked as a Researcher and Lecturer. In 2016, he joined the Center for High Pressure Science & Technology Advanced Research in China as a postdoctoral fellow. Currently, he is conducting research in the High Pressure Physics Group at the Department of Physics, UAB. Dr. Sereika's research primarily focuses on condensed matter and materials physics. His previous experiences involve the preparation and characterization of various semiconducting, ferroelectric, and strongly correlated materials. His main areas of interest revolve around phase transitions, lattice dynamics, and electronic structure under varying temperature-pressure conditions. He employs a combination of standard laboratory techniques, modern synchrotron techniques, and quantum mechanical modeling based on Density Functional Theory.
