Claire Lenker, LICSW, PIP, has a BSW from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and an MSW from the University of Alabama. Ms. Lenker has spent the majority of her career working with children with special health care needs and their families. She is the Faculty Social Worker and Co-Director for the UAB Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC) training grant. The PPC grant emphasizes interprofessional education, family centered care, and health equity. In this capacity Ms. Lenker has mentored over 30 MSW students, and works with families who have a child impacted by a pulmonary diagnosis at Children’s of Alabama. Ms. Lenker has also been certified by the Commission for Case Manager Certification for over 20 years.
