Guided by the Social Determinants of Health and Intersectionality Frameworks, Dr. Wang’s research seeks to reduce disparities in cognitive health and psychological well-being among older adults, especially for those who are Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC). Recognizing the potential of digital technology to successful aging, Dr. Wang also focuses on reducing the digital divide and promoting digital technology use among marginalized older adults.  

Dr. Wang’s diverse educational background brings her with an interdisciplinary perspective. She has collaborated with researchers from different areas, such as gerontology, psychology, neuropsychology, nursing, and public health, and authored 29 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals. Her scholarship also demonstrates versatility in advanced statistics, including structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, growth curve and mixture modeling, and cross-lagged panel modeling.

Dr. Wang has taught courses on research method, program evaluation, history of social welfare in the US.
