Ms. Shawnneice Brock, MSW, LICSW, PIP, is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S. in Social Work and Minor in Gerontology. She continued her studies in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Alabama and graduated with a M.S. in Social Work in 1987.
Brock has primarily focused her professional career in the mental health field. She has worked in hospitals and in outpatient, clinical settings throughout her professional career and is currently a clinical psychiatric social worker at UAB Hospital. She enjoys the diverse field of social work and primarily mental health clinical practice. She also enjoys academia and mentoring upcoming social work majors. She brings many years of direct practice experience to the instructional setting and is a supportive instructor, invested in core competencies and best practices.
