The UAB O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Mass Spectrometry/Metabolomics (MSM) Shared Resource (SR) offers access to capabilities unavailable in individual Cancer Center member laboratories.
The MSM-SR is currently organized into five modules in order to provide the highest quality of services and cutting-edge technologies both efficiently and cost-effectively. The modules are defined as 1. Administrative & Laboratory Management, 2. Experimental Design & Sample Preparation, 3. Discovery Metabolomics Analysis, 4. Statistics, Bioinformatics, & Reporting, 5. Manuscripts, Grants, & Education with each module supported by seasoned and specialized administration, technical services, and consultation.
The MSM-SR is highly integrated into various research projects at O'Neal CCC and is an essential component of O'Neal CCC. The goal of the O'Neal MSP Shared Resource is to continue to provide state-of-the-art capabilities in mass spectrometry, proteomics, and bioanalytical technologies to support the research needs of O'Neal investigators.
