Research
The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at UAB has a long history of pursuing interdisciplinary research projects. Our faculty, staff, and students are involved in a variety of research efforts, with support from industry and government agencies. We collaborate with other departments at UAB, other universities, and national laboratories.
Additionally, our faculty are actively involved in other school-wide or University-wide research activities, including Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD).
