I really enjoyed that the department staff were not simply theoretical, but have worked in industry; thus, providing real-world knowledge and examples for us to learn by. Because of this, I consistently go back to notes and test examples for difficult problems that I encounter at my job as a Structural Engineer.

It is important that our students have computers that are correctly set-up to function properly with Canvas, the UAB course delivery platform. Taking the time to review computer requirements and making the necessary adjustments will ensure that you have a successful computer experience while in the program.

All Structural Engineering (SE) courses are delivered in Canvas. Canvas simplifies teaching and learning by connecting the most frequently used digital tools in one place. Canvas guides, tutorials, a FAQ, and technical support resources are available on the UAB eLearning website.

Other Resources

UAB has many resources available for its students. If you do not see what you are looking for on one of these sites, don't hesitate to contact the SE program administrators.
