Get Involved and Become a GSG Senator
Being a GSG Senator is excellent way to meet new people, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and play an active role in formulating policies affecting graduate students. Students interested in being a senator must be an enrolled master’s or doctoral student in good standing (M.D., D.O., O.D., D.D.S. are not eligible unless in a dual Ph.D. or master’s program).
Interested in Representing Your College/School?
- Attend our monthly Senate/Student Body Meetings held on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:00 p.m.
- Familiarize yourself with the GSG Senator Responsibilities.
- Apply via this form. Once you are interviewed and your status is approved, you become an official voting member.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to serve as a senator, candidates must be enrolled master’s or doctoral students in good standing. Students pursuing professional degrees such as M.D., D.O., O.D., or D.D.S. are not eligible unless they are also enrolled in a dual Ph.D. or master’s program.
