SNP Genotyping
The Heflin Center for Genomic Sciences provides SNP genotyping on a few different platforms depending on the size and scope of your project. The most dense genotyping platform is the Illumina iScan, which can genotype up to 5 million SNPs per sample. For low-level genotyping, SNaPshot can be used for small numbers of SNPs (between 1-10) on a limited number of samples. All of the above methods work on known SNPs and are not intended for SNP discovery. There are several array options for the Illumina system. You can either visit the Illumina web site (www.illumina.com) for options or contact the Core to discuss your project and its goals.
