Business Development Manager (205) 996-2538
Nadia joined the Harbert Institute team in November 2022. Her role on the team is to commercialize UAB’s innovative ideas by developing marketing campaigns and sharing UAB research with interested companies. Nadia received her B.S. and M.S. in Mexico from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur and The Northwestern Center of Biological Research, respectively. After moving to the United States, she completed her MBA at the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on business strategy and operations.
Before moving to Birmingham, she held intern positions at both the Innovation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Life Science Greenhouse. During her time there she was able to see the technology transfer process firsthand, which planted the seed for her passion for bringing ideas from the bench to the bedside. She then joined the division of Sleep and Respiratory Care at Philips as a Performance Management Analyst. While at Philips, she was able to propose and implement process improvement end-to-end initiatives, focusing on metrics tracking and problem solving.
Nadia enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions from around the world as well as sharing all about her birth country, Mexico. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling and cuddles with her family and dog.
