State-based recipients of Phase I and Phase II Federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants are again eligible to apply for up to $250,000 in supplemental funding.
On Jan. 16, 2024, Innovate Alabama began accepting applications for the fourth funding round for the Innovate Alabama Supplemental Grant.
Those who received SBIR/STTR Phase I or Phase II Awards on or after July 21, 2021 are eligible to apply.
Phase I recipients are eligible to apply for matching funds of 50 percent of their award, up to $100,000. Phase II recipients are eligible to apply for matching funds of 50 percent of their award, up to $250,000. These awards are non-dilutive, which means businesses will receive the money without giving up shares of their company.
Those interested should apply by Feb. 16, 2024.
