Lemeshia Agee Chambers, Ph.D., MSW, is an experienced Healthcare leader with a diverse background in various environments.
Lemeshia most recently served as the Market Director for the Behavioral Health Service Line with Brookwood Baptist Health. In this role, she coordinated the activities of the service line with other constituencies both within and outside the market hospitals, encouraged and maintained open lines of communication with and between referring hospitals and physicians and the appropriate market hospital personnel, and educated community health providers and mental health services organizations about the capabilities, services, and availability of all BBH mental health offerings, among other things. She has extensive experience in public relations, Healthcare relationship development and management, event planning and promotion, and community public health education, with an expansive knowledge of healthcare systems and clinical settings. Adaptable healthcare services professional with a Doctor of Philosophy focused on Public Health Education and Promotion from Walden University.
Lemeshia received her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Education and Promotion with a focus on Community Health Education in 2020 from Walden University. In October of 2021, she joined UAB as the Program Director for Live HealthSmart Alabama, a transformational movement to make good health simple for all Alabamians by making changes to the rules, the systems, and the places that prevent people from making healthy choices. LHSA focuses on improving access to good nutrition, physical activity, and prevention and wellness. She is focused on health equity, growth, and the sustainability of this initiative.
