If you’ve been to City Walk Bham, you know it’s a great place to play, but you may not know it’s also a convenient spot to get healthy. City Walk Bham has partnered with two organizations on offerings to improve the community’s health, plus another group that works with youth. Keep reading to find out how you can get involved.

Chiquita Brooks-LaSure—Administrator for the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)—visited the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) to discuss health equity with subject-matter experts. With its long-standing history in health disparities and goal to achieve health equity, the UAB Minority Health & Health Equity Research Center was selected to host visitors at the special event.
