Partner Spotlights
The YMCA of Greater Birmingham
At Live HealthSmart Alabama, we pride ourselves on the work we do to help communities take charge of their health—through education, physical activity, prevention & wellness, or good nutrition. Our partners are like-minded organizations with similar values. One partner is creating a community that is not bound by geography, but connected by the experiences people have with one another, a place where all its members can belong.
Bundles of Hope
Live HealthSmart Alabama (LHSA) and Bundles of Hope share a common goal: simplifying access to good health for residents in our communities.
The LHSA Mobile Market offers a one-stop shopping experience for fresh, affordable food. The Mobile Market regularly visits neighborhoods across the Birmingham area. Now, thanks to Bundles of Hope's involvement, shoppers can receive diapers and feminine products at selected Mobile Market stops, completely free of charge.
HEAL United
When it comes to key health indicators, Alabama ranks among the lowest in the nation. Such health issues can be impacted by factors such as someone’s access to medical care, zip code, income, education, race/ethnicity, and family history. That’s why Live HealthSmart Alabama is on a mission to make good health simple. To achieve such a transformation requires partners who believe in our mission and are driven to work alongside us to make it a reality. One of the organizations improving health in our state, together with Live HealthSmart Alabama, is Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) United.
Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club
Live HealthSmart Alabama (LHSA) and the Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club are working together to make Birmingham a healthier and more sustainable city by promoting green spaces throughout the city.
Baptist Health Foundation
With a program as broad and encompassing as Live HealthSmart Alabama’s, the need for support from invested community partners is vital to ensuring long-term success and increased community buy-in.
