Chief Administrative Officer
Teresa Shufflebarger, MSHA, MBA, FACHE is a career healthcare executive who has worked in multihospital systems with focused efforts in business and service line development and strategy creation and deployment.
Teresa began her career with The Baptist Health System where she worked for over 25 years in various roles of increasing responsibility including inpatient and outpatient operations, business development, physician recruitment, and strategic planning. She served as Chief Strategy Officer for the joint ventured Brookwood Baptist Health and was responsible for strategy, business development, and growth for the five hospitals. In 2019, she founded a strategy and management consulting firm, Allegro Partners, LLC, dedicated to promoting meaningful, interactive, and collaborative partnerships between executive leadership, governing board members, and key constituents. Allegro Partners guided organizations in their efforts to accomplish their vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
In January 2021, Teresa accepted the role of Chief Administrative Officer of Live HealthSmart Alabama. LHSA is a comprehensive initiative seed funded by UAB to partner with businesses, schools, faith-based organizations, non-profits, and state and local government to make changes in policies, systems, and environment to positively impact the health of Alabamians by promoting good nutrition, physical activity, and health & wellness. She is focused on growth, expansion, and sustainability of this impactful initiative.
