Acknowledging the Center

If you receive research support through utilization of any Core resources from the UAB ADRC or if you receive UAB ADRC–supported grant funding, you are responsible for acknowledging the Wisconsin ADRC in publications, posters, and oral presentations per the guidelines below.

You must cite the UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center grant P30AG068401 if you:

• Use ADRC resources to support any aspect of your research study, including but not limited to:

  • recruitment of study participants from the ADRC Clinical Core or Registry
  • utilization of ADRC biospecimens, fluid and/or tissue
  • existing data collected from ADRC Clinical Core participants
  • scientific expertise, including statistical consultation from members of the Data Management and Statistical Core in either initial experimental design or subsequent data analysis

• Receive funding from the ADRC for your research, from a developmental or pilot project or as a REC Scholar

Publications

All publications meeting the above criteria should include “UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center P30AG068401” in the Acknowledgments. All investigators funded by the NIH must submit publications for inclusion in PubMed Central and obtain a PMCID. Visit the NIH Public Access website to learn more about the submission process and for a list of journals that are automatically submitted to PubMed Central.

Posters and Presentations

All posters and oral presentations meeting the above criteria should include “UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center P30AG068401” in the Acknowledgments. Please notify the center of your posters and talks by sending an email to alz@uabmc.edu.
