UAB CFRB members comprise an interdisciplinary group of >100 investigators from 7 UAB schools, 21 departments and partnering institutions.  Faculty oversee research projects spanning multiple areas spanning marine ecosystems to human health and disease encompassing basic  and translational science, and  include understanding mechanisms of redox signaling involving reactive oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, lipid and halogen species.
