MRI Safety Policies
Faculty, students, and study personnel engaging in activities at the CINL Prisma MRI facility will need to undergo CINL MRI Safety Training. Please schedule this with cinl@uab.edu.

Forms and Paperwork
Take the time to browse our CINLGitHub and view the forms necessary to get a study up and running. You can also refer to our SharePoint site.
Electronic Log Book Reminder: Always fill out the log book (in the computer at the lab) immediately following your use of the scanner, scan room, or when you do anything that involves the scanner. If you book the scanner on the calendar, there should be a corresponding log book entry. Put your study ID (P-number) on the log book sheet at the top in the blank space provided. Please log any issues you have in the area provided at the bottom of the log sheet.
Prisma Scanner Availability
Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 11:30am. Hospital scan schedule (not open for basic research).
Monday - Friday, 11:30am - 6:00pm. "Prime time" research hours. Users can request scan assistance. Request scan time using the CINL Prisma calendars.
All other times. Available for research. At least one Operationally Certified (OC) lab member and one MRI Safety trained lab member must be present during any scan sessions. Request scan time using the CINL Prisma calendars.
Calendars: Scheduling calendars for the scanner and adjacent interview rooms are available through our SharePoint site.
Helpful Information
Join our slack message board to talk about any CINL-related issues you may have. You should be able to join as long as you have an email address with a uab.edu domain.
Also, lots of information about protocol design and data analysis is shared during our CINL Brain Core office hours at the Civitan International Research Center, in the second floor lobby.
For help with computational issues relating to Cheaha or other platforms offered by Research Computing as well as using tools listed in CINL's preprocessing and analysis documentation, please come to Research Computing Office hours Mondays and Thursdays from 10-12 on Zoom.
