Generating knowledge and translating discoveries that enhance the health and wellness of individuals living with chronic health conditions.
The Clinical and Population Health Sciences Program provides our faculty with opportunities to grow in research with ongoing programs that include a focus on areas such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, health equity and social determinents of health, health services research, learning health systems, medical education research and scholarships, and substance use disorders.
We also prepare our independent clinician-investigators to pursue careers in clinical and population health sciences with our GIM Research Fellowship, and our residents who are interested in participating in outcomes, population health, or community-based types of research have a variety of options with the Resident Research Elective.
