How Can We Help You?
The CRE at the Heersink School of Medicine provides a full range of shared clinical research services, including trial management, protocol development, logistical planning, and regulatory and financial support. With expertise in RedCap and OnCore systems, the team is led by two Research Nurse Managers and includes 30 Research Coordinators, as well as a financial and pre-award team for budgeting and study start-up. The CRE aims to complete Site Initiation Visits (SIV) within 90-120 days of receiving full regulatory and contract/budget sponsor packets. We work with the Western Institutional Review Board (WIRB), Advarra, and a local IRB, ensuring all study start-up activities are conducted concurrently. Currently, the CRE supports over 500 active trials across various phases, involving more than 100 investigators from the Department of Medicine and other specialties within the Heersink School of Medicine.
Our research experience includes, but is not limited to: Gastroentrology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Immunology, Rheumatology, Hematology, Oncology, ENT, Urology, Infectious Diseases, Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, and Cardiology.
