Shadowing is only available November through March each year. Students who are interested in shadowing in the emergency department should fill out the forms below using the request to shadow link. Upon completion of required forms, students will be connected to available opportunities. Shadowers can expect to observe the faculty physician for half of their shift.

Due to the numbers of learners in our department, beginning in January of 2024 shadowing opportunities are limited to current UABSOM students looking to gain exposure to emergency medicine.
