
UAB-HudsonAlpha Genomic Medicine Postdoctoral Training Program
This training grant is an institutional Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) T32 grant funded by the NHGRI within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), created to prepare postdoctoral trainees for academic careers in genomic medicine. It assists trainees in obtaining skills necessary for the conception, planning, and conducting of research in genomic medicine and subsequent presentation and publication of results. Trainees have the option of conducting their research either at the University of Alabama at Birmingham or the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. There are also opportunities to participate in clinical and clinical laboratory activities in genomic medicine, as well as didactic and other educational activities.
