Assistant Professor and Chief of Sports Medicine Amit Momaya, M.D., presented at the Broward Health Medical Center Grand Rounds in June.
Momaya has extensive training in the care of patients with shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries and currently serves as team physician for UAB Athletics, Birmingham Legion FC, Birmingham Bulls Hockey, and several community sports teams. He continues to engage in clinical trials to help improve patient care and innovate in the growing field of sports medicine.
Momaya was invited by the program director of the Broward Orthopedic Residency program as a guest speaker and spoke on shoulder instability.
As part of the Grand Rounds session, Momaya delivered his presentation on shoulder instability and opened the floor for a Q&A session at the conclusion of his presentation. He was honored to be included in the session.
“It was an honor to present to the Broward Health Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program,” said Momaya. “They have such top-notch faculty and trainees, and I wish the residents best of luck in their residency careers.”
