Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Associate Professor Sameer Naranje, M.D., MRCS, and his research team recently presented two manuscripts at The Orthopaedic Summit 2021 in Las Vegas, NV.

Kelly ChandlerKelly Chandler, a third year UAB Heersink School of Medicine student, had a podium presentation for her manuscript, "The Incidence of Complications, Revision, and Post-Operative Infection in Compliant HIV Patients Undergoing Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty".

Mackenzie Sowers, also a third year UAB Heersink School of Medicine student, delivered a podium presentation on her manuscript, "The Impact Of Resident Involvement On Patient Outcomes In Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty".

Naranje was proud to represent the department with quality research.

The next Orthopaedic Summit will take place in Boston, from September 21-24. The conference Is already anticipating 350 faculty, over 1000 presentations, and 12 sessions.
