Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Professor Herrick Siegel, M.D., alongside Division of Infectious Diseases Assistant Professor Daniela de Lima Corvino, M.D., has launched a new UAB Multidisciplinary Periprosthetic Joint Infection Conference.

The conference will discuss complex issues in the prevention and treatment of total joint infection as well as other musculoskeletal infectious disease. Currently, the group is meeting via Zoom every Friday morning at 7 a.m. CT.

All orthopaedic subspecialties are welcome to submit complex cases for discussion and join the conference.  Orthopaedic and infectious disease residents and fellows are also encouraged to attend.
