Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Professor Herrick Siegel, M.D., is scheduled to present his research virtually at the Orthopaedic Down Under Symposium in Sydney, Australia, May 13-14.
Siegel will present his research “The Use of Modern Technology in Revision Total Joint Surgery” and “Preparing and Planning for Difficult Alignment Cases.”
The symposium is focused on providing practical solutions to common problems of complex revision hip and knee arthroplasty and includes respected joint revision specialists from Australia and around the world.
Siegel joined the UAB faculty in 2002 and since has developed one of the busiest and national renowned joint replacement and oncology practices in the Southeast, making him a clear choice for the conference. He is also an expert in the direct anterior hip approach for total hip replacement surgery.
Siegel is looking forward to representing the UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery internationally.
“Networking with orthopaedic surgeons from across the world provides a unique opportunity for learning and knowledge sharing,” said Siegel. “I look forward to the conference, sharing my research, and growing as an orthopaedic surgeon.”
