Austin Wheeler, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Austin Wheeler, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Wheeler completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. He completed his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. His research and clinical interests include pediatric safety and injury prevention, pediatric trauma and resuscitation, pediatric cardiac arrest, procedural education and improvement, and ultrasound.
