Biography
Johan Latorre, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.
He received his M.D. from Penn State University College of Medicine. He also has a M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in Biology Anthropology & Anatomy and Psychology from Duke University.
Dr. Latorre joins the department as a Physiatrist with specialization in adaptive sports after completing his fellowship in Sports Medicine Primary Care from the University of Michigan where he also graduated with a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency. Prior to that, he completed his Internal Medicine internship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Latorre’s clinical practice will assess patients’ needs suffered during athletic events such as musculoskeletal issues and concussion protocols.
