Biography

Emma Lucas, Ph.D., MSW, MPH joins the department as a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of brain injuries including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions. She also provides cognitive and emotional rehabilitation.

Prior to joining the department, Dr. Lucas completed a 2-year fellowship in neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center and the Road Home Program.

Dr. Lucas received her doctorate from Palo Alto University in 2022 and completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham - Birmingham VAMC Consortium. Prior to completing her doctorate degree, Dr. Lucas received a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) from the University of California, Berkeley.

Clinically, Dr. Lucas provides a combination of neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based treatment to individuals with various neurological and psychological disorders. She enjoys working with patients with acquired brain injuries and individuals with complex medical histories. She has experience working with individuals with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, somatic symptom and related disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders.
