Biography

Radhika Sharma, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is experienced in the inpatient and outpatient care and treatment of individuals with spinal cord injury, strokes, and other neurologic diseases. She is also experienced in the amputee rehabilitation continuum from post-surgical limb care through prosthetic management. Her clinical interests include spasticity management and aging-related issues in people with spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Sharma is a member of the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals, American Spinal Injury Association, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.

Prior to joining the department Dr. Sharma earned a medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab/Northwestern University.
