Applicant Eligibility and Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. or candidate for degree during the current application year
• Currently enrolled in accredited psychiatry residency program
• To be considered for an interview, must have a passing score on USMLE Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 or COMLEX Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
• Eligibility for limited Alabama Medical Licensure
• Participation in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
• We accept H1B and J1 Visas.
• International graduates must have a valid ECFMG Certificate prior to Fellowship start date.

Application Instructions

Applications can be submitted in ERAS during open application season. Please contact the Program Coordinator (elang@uabmc.edu) for pre and post ERAS season applications.

Interview Details

Applicants invited to interview will be notified through ERAS or email and interview dates will be communicated. Currently all interviews are conducted virtually. Your day will begin at 8:00am CST with program presentation and virtual tour with the chief fellows, followed by meetings with the Program Director and faculty members.
