A Message from the Directors

Dear Residency Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in the UAB Psychiatry Residency Program. Our program offers exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases in the setting of a major academic medical center. We work with our residents to tailor their training to their career goals by offering additional opportunities in research, psychotherapy, academic psychiatry, and numerous electives. We also offer fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry, giving residents the opportunity to become subspecialty trained, without having to move. We invite you to learn more about our program, UAB, and Birmingham by exploring our website and the links provided.
