UAB Division of Breast & Endocrine Surgery Associate Professor Brenessa Lindeman, M.D., MEHP, FACS, was recently selected as a participant in the 2023 cohort of the Momentum Leaders in Medicine at UAB.

A collaborative training program by leadership organization, Momentum, and UAB Medicine’s Leadership Development Office, the class covers a nine-month curriculum that covers a variety of business topics and soft skills training exercises.

This year’s cohort of 15 female leaders from across the UAB campus marks the third class of the program.

Lindeman has also been recently selected for the Association of Women Surgeons’ Shining Star Leadership Program and the Macy Faculty Scholars Program.

She serves additionally as the chief of the Section of Endocrine Surgery, the program director of the UAB Endocrine Surgery Fellowship, and assistant dean for UAB Graduate Medical Education.
