The UAB Department of Surgery’s Pre-College Research Internship for Students from Minority Backgrounds (PRISM) and Surgery Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program participants gathered together to present their completed research to their peers, mentors, and family members.
This year, five high school students were selected to participate in PRISM, and six college students were chosen to complete the SURE program.
As part of the programs, students were also invited to participate in lectures and learning experiences through the Department of Surgery.
