Administrative Core
Purpose & Structure
It is important to have a well-defined and effective Administrative Core that supports the institution-specific activities of the MSM/TU/UAB Partnership. A main objective is to provide the leadership and direction that fosters interactions among the Lead-Principal Investigators (Lead-PIs), PIs, co-Leaders, investigators, and leadership across the partnering institutions.
The Administrative Core functions in four areas:
- Day-to-day oversight
- Coordination
- Support and logistics
- Appropriate coordination and communication (see Partnership Coordination/Communication Plan )
These functions support an integrated, multi-institutional Partnership to enhance interactions and achieve program goals and objectives. Communications and integration of activities within and among partner institutions are accomplished by institution-specific Program Managers.
