Pankaj Arora, M.D., assistant professor in the UAB Division of Cardiovascular Disease, has been selected to serve as section editor for Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine.
Arora will be involved in assigning manuscripts focused on genetics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics and precision medicine to peer reviewers, and will be recommending publishing decisions to the editor-in-chief. He will also serve as the reviews and clinical case editor and will assist in the development of content for this section. His primary duties will involve coordinating and working under the general supervision and instruction of the editor-in-chief.
“I am thrilled by the opportunity to join the esteemed team of Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine,” Arora said. “My clinical and translational research laboratory is focused on natriuretic peptide deficiency states, implementation science, big data and how to accelerate the use of precision medicine to individualize clinical care in cardiology.”
Arora says the journal is based on a similar vision to achieve some of his goals.
