UAB has big sustainability plans for the future, and sustainability coordinator Julie Price, Ph.D., knows what happens on campus will affect the community, state and region.

“What we do well can make a big difference,” Price said. “We have the power to institute real change.”

The university has already made strides in cutting costs and saving resources, from upgrading light fixtures to recycling 965,780 pounds of paper in 2013.
